Dear Parent/Guardian,

On behalf of our entire staff at Rosemount High School, we are happy to welcome you to the 2026-2027 school year. Our team of dedicated teachers and support staff is excited to welcome your children back to school.

First Day of School

The first day of school is Tuesday, September 1st, 2026, and will be an Orientation Day for all students. Students will be following the schedule below:

• 10:00 am Main Entrance Doors open for students to enter the Auditorium.
• 10:30 am - 11:00 am School Wide Assembly where students will be greeted by the school staff and then be separated into their homerooms to meet their homeroom teachers.
• 11:00 am - 11:45 am Homeroom teachers will collect school fees and distribute an Agenda, Pupil Registration Forms to be returned September 4th, Student Schedule and locker assignments to all students. Key highlights of the Code of Conduct will be reviewed by the Homeroom teacher. Secondary 1 students will receive a tour of the building.
• 11:45 am Students will be offered Ice Cream, provided by Gelaterie Pierino, before being dismissed for the day.

Important Information for the First Day Back

• School & Workbook Fees: Please refer to the school fee table below for the amount due by level. Fees will be collected on September 1st Orientation Day. Only cash or cheques will be accepted. Please submit your child’s fees in an envelope with their name clearly written on it. If you have more than one child attending RHS, do not combine siblings’ fees in one envelope.
• First Official Day of Classes: Wednesday, September 2nd, 2026, Day 1, is the first official day of classes for students.
• Parent/Guardian Role: On Orientation Day, your child will receive an agenda. Please take a moment to review both the Calendar and the Code of Conduct with your child. The 2026-2027 Code of Conduct has new rules that students and parents must be aware of and fully understand.
• Uniform: Students are expected to be in uniform on the first day as they enter the building.
• School Supplies: Teachers will inform students of any specific needs on their first day of classes. Students should have pencils and paper for the first couple of days of school.
• Locker Combination Lock: Please purchase a sturdy combination lock for your child’s school and gym lockers.
• Communication: Communication will be key this year, as student success requires collaboration between students, parents, and school staff. Please check your emails regularly and contact the main office to update your email contact information. Teachers can also be contacted by email through the school website under the “About Rosemount” tab.

Lastly, Rosemount High School’s staff is collectively committed to your child’s academic success in the school. This commitment is a crucial component in your child’s success, but the parental component is also very important. We ask that you be involved as much as possible with your child’s education and that you work with the school when disciplinary measures are necessary.
