Parents

When parents are involved in their children's education at home, they do better in school. When parents are involved in their children's education at school, children go farther in school and the schools they go to are better.

As we encourage our students toward a life governed by the values of personal integrity, all members of the RHS community must pledge to uphold our code of conduct:

  • Personal Honesty and Truthfulness
  • Academic Integrity
  • Respect for Others and the Property of Others

Parental Involvement

At Rosemount High School, parents and guardians are encouraged to become active members of the school community. Parents may volunteer at school, during special events or serve on the school governing board.

The school governing board is a component of the education reform and came into being with the establishment of linguistic school boards in 1998. Comprised of an elected chair, vice-chair and secretary as well as parents, administrators, teachers, and student representatives, the governing board is a parent-school partnership that works towards the primary goal of making decisions that benefit our students. Every member has the same goal, which is to promote student success.

Volunteers are the backbone of what makes a school a great place to learn. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer at Rosemount High School, please contact the school administration office.

Reminders

It takes a village to raise a child

is a popular proverb with a clear message: the whole community has an essential role to play in the growth and development of its young people. In addition to the vital role that parents and family members play in a child’s education, the broader Rosemount High School community has a responsibility to assure high-quality education for all students. The communities involvement in education at Rosemount correlates with its higher academic performance and school improvement. Parent-family community involvement is the key to student success.
